Root Canal Therapy

Root canals often get a bad rap, but this dental procedure is safe, relatively painless, and can actually save your tooth and smile.

Treatment
Initially, we will take a physical exam of your mouth and teeth. The treated area will be numbed with local anesthesia to alleviate the pain. We may place a rubber material in your mouth to maintain a stable level of saliva throughout the procedure.

The specialist will drill into the decayed tooth to remove the infected pulp. While using root canal files, the pulp will be removed in its entirety. The canal is cleansed and rinsed with sodium hypochlorite and/or water foe maximum efficiency. Your newly cleansed canal will be sealed with a gutta percha (rubber paste). If needed, a dental crown will be placed to cover the look of your decayed tooth. You can now smile with ease and confidence!
